Tired of the status quo, broken out of the box products that you get from the big box stores, owners Matt and Bill started manufacturing products for themselves. With both having manufacturing backgrounds, it was as much a creative outlet as it was an alternative to the sub par products that they were tired of buying. From outdoor furnishings to everyday items around the house, they designed and built to fill their own needs. Matt’s wife Courtney (being the amateur professional photographer that she is) started taking pictures of their products and posting them online. Word spread quickly that these two could design and build products using Aerospace Grade materials that were built locally, right here in the Midwest.
Friends and family started reaching out to them at first, then orders started coming in from people they had never even met. Using only the highest quality materials and the most modern manufacturing practices, they offered the “Average Joe” the opportunity to design any concept large or small. Matt and Bill recognized early on that their customers loved the ability to show their family, friends, and neighbors what they had designed, and they had purchased it from a small local company. Soon the demand grew to the point that this hobby had to become something more.

When Industrial Innovation was first launched, Matt and Bill both agreed that giving back to the community was going to be a major priority. With the days of corporate generosity waning, both founders agreed that this was an important pillar on which to build their business. The decision was made to donate 5% of all profits from all products sold to a great charity called “The Ghana Project” hosted through Living Word United Methodist Church in Wildwood, MO. This charity brings about positive change in people’s lives in Ghana by bringing them the most simple and yet most sought after item, clean water.
“One of the things that really guided our decision towards this great charity is the fact that 100% of the proceeds go towards the cause. You know that your donation is going directly to help the wonderful people of Ghana and not being lost in administrative costs” Matt says. “The decision is also very symbolic” Matt went on to say “because the very first item that we delivered as a company was a Baptismal Font. The fact that our product holds the water that people use to dedicate their lives to God is also helping to bring clean water to the people of Ghana was very meaningful to us.”
